GET TO KNOW PAT

Pat Rundell is a Canadian theatre director, actor, educator, and arts leader, living and working on the traditional land of the lək̓ʷəŋən people on the West Coast of British Columbia.

 

With a lifelong passion for theatre, Pat is inspired by its unique ability to connect people, spark imaginations, and foster community. His diverse body of work spans from large-scale productions to intimate performances, all driven by a deep commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and creativity.

Pat is the current Artistic and Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, a position he has held since 2018.

 

As a proud member of the Canadian Actors Equity Association, a board member for both the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT), and the President of the Professional Arts Alliance of Greater Victoria, Pat is dedicated to shaping the future of theatre in Canada. He believes in the power of storytelling to inspire change, bringing people together and making theatre that resonates with audiences long after they leave the theatre.

Directed by Pat Rundell, his understanding of the message and themes combined with creative brilliance makes for an adaptation that feels like an original. His blend of language, movement, and stage direction creates layers to the show resulting in a performance that has a lot going on managed in a way that is both cohesive and successful.
